MARCH MISSION PRAYER During March please lift up prayers for the people of Chile and Haiti as they struggle to recover from earthquake disasters that affected their nations.
COMMUNION OFFERING March's Communion Offering will be directed to the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) Advance #3021178, Chile Emergency. On February 27th, central Chile was struck with the strongest earthquake in the region in half a century. Our contributions to the Chile Emergency Advance will strengthen UMCOR’s ability to be fully present with resources. One hundred percent of gifts made to this advance will help the people of Chile.

WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY “LOVING GOD” by Chuck Colson A book that is so gracious and loving will be our focus for the next Women's Sunday Night Study. This book is filled with true and inspiring stories and the premise of this book is about not only loving God in our hearts, but also through our actions and these accounts serve as wonderful examples and should lead to lively discussions. WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY “40 Days of Love” We Were Made for Relationships: A Six-Session Video-Based Study for Small Groups. Taught by Rick Warren. CONFIRMATION CLASS Pastor Mark will be leading Confirmation classes Sunday evenings at 5:15 PM beginning today Sun. Mar 7th. This class is open to all students at least in the 7th grade. Be sure to sign up at the church office.
MEETING OF ST. ANDREW INTERFAITH HOSPITALITY NETWORK VOLUNTEERS today Sunday March 7th at 11:45 AM in Old Fellowship Hall. This meeting is for all current Interfaith Hospitality volunteers in any capacity, and for those who would like to explore volunteer opportunities within this outreach ministry, come join in a light brunch and an exchange of information, ideas, and experiences.

EASTER FLOWERS Now through Sun. Mar. 12th, the JYF will be taking orders for Easter Flowers to grace our sanctuary on Easter Sunday. Please see Pat or Bill Herflicker after services for the complete list of flowers and prices.
GIRL SCOUT COOKIES The Girl Scouts are selling cookies to be sent to an Army platoon stationed in Iraq. Our goal is to send 35 boxes, one for each person in the platoon. Each box costs $3.50 and there is still time to participate in this program. Thank you for your all of your support and your generosity!
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED The Education Committee is looking for volunteers to teach Children’s Church during the 10:30 service. Our hope is that with enough willing participants we can space out the task and people will only be called on every six or seven weeks, but we need volunteers. If you are willing to help lead the children in St. Andrew as they learn what it means to worship God please see Robin Susich or call at 732-797-0954.
NORTHERN SHORE DISTRICT RESOURCE DAY Thurs., Mar. 11th For clergy & laity at both day & evening sessions. Jason Santos will present a spiritually based workshop. This will be a special day for spiritual growth, inspiration, and an opportunity to be “spiritually fed.” Mr. Santos is the author of the book, A Community Called Taize: A Story of Prayer, Worship and Reconciliation”. Place: Oakhurst First UMC, 103 Monmouth Rd, Oakhurst, NJ 07755. Time: Day Session/gathering at 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., with light lunch to follow. Evening Session/7 to 9 p.m., light refreshments served.
2010 GNJAC SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES Copies of 2010 GNJAC Scholarship Applications and the Scholarship Opportunities brochures are in the narthex and on the table in the New Fellowship Hall Lobby. CHRISTIAN OUTREACH PROJECT The Christian Outreach Project is a non-profit organization, part of the Greater New Jersey Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. For two weeks each summer, COP sends groups to houses in local communities to provide housing repairs to homeowners who are unable to handle the projects themselves. The week for COP 2010 is June 27-July 3. The cost for participants will be $335, and this money goes to help offset the costs incurred through use of the Camp Hoover and Aldersgate facilities, as well as to help pay for the supplies necessary to complete the projects undertaken.
